Huff… capek sebenarnya baru senin kemarin pulang dari Bogor ( IPB ) untuk mengikuti scientific paper competition on IAAS Olympic 2008 ( seru banget mahasiswa IPB ) ntar aku buat postingan tersendiri berikut publikasi yang telah dilakukan berkenaan dengan pencapaian kami Tim dari ITS Surabaya. Dalam postingan kali ini saya bukan mau menceritakan pengalaman luar biasa kami ke IPB tapi saya mau meminta pendapat rekan-rekan sekalian tentang Boneka Horta yang merupakan karya anak bangsa oleh mahasiswa IPB… kebetulan kami mau bekerjasama untuk memasarkan Boneka Horta nah, untuk mengetahui animo masyarakat mengenai Boneka Horta ini, kami membuat polling di polling untuk Boneka Horta tolong bantu isi polling ini ya? terima kasih…

Boneka HORTA

 

Contoh bentuk boneka horta ( ki-ka ) : babi, kodok, sapi, panda, kepala

Boneka rumput ”HORTA” merupakan suatu media tanam yang dikemas dalam bentuk boneka dengan bagian kepala ditumbuhi rumput. Mainan ini merupakan jenis mainan baru di Indonesia. Boneka ini sangat cocok digunakan sebagai latihan untuk anak-anak merawat tanaman.

Permainan ini dimulai ketika anak merendam kepala boneka di air kemudian mengamati pertumbuhan rumput dibagian kepala boneka setiap hari. Pada saat rumput telah memenuhi kepala boneka, anak dapat berkreasi dengan memangkas rumput menjadi bentuk yang diinginkan.

My first Open Source Project

On last friday 7 Oct 2008 we were presenting our ( me and my friends ) project. We presenting our open source project which is called NOS! Project, you can visit our sites in the link below, we are in the 8th place to demonstration our project progress. Actually, when our team time turns to demos remained, i was at home. Danu Koeswara called me when i was still sleeping thank you for your call danu! and thanks God i wasnt late when i arrived there our demos didnt take much time ( i wonder that we were only spent 20-25 minutes ) but we get 91 scores for 120 possible max scores thx Miss Iin for your give hehehehehehe

Waktu membaca bukunya Larry King “How to talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere by Larry King”, ada pertanyaan menarik yang ditulis oleh Larry King yang fungsinya adalah untuk membuat suasana diskusi menjadi lebih “hidup”, Saya mau berbagi pertanyaan itu dan tentunya persepsi kita terhadap suatu permasalahan pastilah berbeda-beda… apa yang akan anda lakukan ketika anda berada pada kondisi seperti ini, dan mengapa anda harus melakukannya? dua pertanyaan yang saya tulis di bawah ini adalah pertanyaan yang diajukan dalam acara kumpul-kumpul organisasi yang bernama Mensa ( yang beranggotakan para intelektual besar dunia-dua persen pria dan wanita dengan intelegensia tertinggi ) berikut pertanyaan tersebut :

1. Ada empat pria dalam sebuah tambang ketika tambang itu runtuh. Mereka berusaha keluar melalui satu-satunya lubang ke permukaan. Mereka memanjat satu demi satu, tetapi orang yang berada di paling atas gendut sekali. Baru separo jalan di lubang itu, ia terjepit. Ketiga orang di bawahnya mulai kehabisan udara. Haruskah mereka menembak dan menyingkirkan orang itu? Atau haruskah mereka membiarkan orang itu meronta-ronta, meski tahu mereka bisa mati di bawahnya? Siapa yang harus hidup-orang itu atau mereka?
2. Haruskah orang yang diberi anugerah menjadi tidak kasat mata tetap harus mematuhi kaidah moral konvensional? Apakah orang yang bisa menghilang dan tak bisa dilihat orang lain itu harus mematuhi kaidah moral yang berlaku di antara orang-orang biasa?

Nah, bagaimana jawaban temen-temen jika di beri pertanyaan seperti di atas? dan mengapa temen-temen melakukannya?

Top 4000 Universities in the World Based on Their Web

When i was blogwalking to Mr. Romi Satria Wahono site, i was interested with his article that talking about rank of world universities based on their website. Then i search the website in this link. I was found that recent survey on july 2008 our universities ( in Indonesia ) was increased their rank! My institution has upgraded their rank and finished at 2844 ( compires with rank on january 2008 ) this site is very good to make a competition climate among all universities in the world. With 4 parameters ( visibility, size, rich files, scholar ) all of universities can upgrade their rank with constant changes in those paramaters. The rank of Indonesian Universities and the mark of parameters is showing below :

 

About the parameters :

Visibility (V). The total number of unique external links received (inlinks) by a site can be only confidently obtained from Yahoo Search, Live Search and Exalead. For each engine, results are log-normalised to 1 for the highest value and then combined to generate the rank.
Size (S). Number of pages recovered from four engines: Google, Yahoo, Live Search and Exalead. For each engine, results are log-normalised to 1 for the highest value. Then for each domain, maximum and minimum results are excluded and every institution is assigned a rank according to the combined sum.
Rich Files (R). After evaluation of their relevance to academic and publication activities and considering the volume of the different file formats, the following were selected: Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), Adobe PostScript (.ps), Microsoft Word (.doc) and Microsoft Powerpoint (.ppt). These data were extracted using Google and merging the results for each filetype after log-normalising in the same way as described before.
Scholar (Sc). Google Scholar provides the number of papers and citations for each academic domain. These results from the Scholar database represent papers, reports and other academic items. ( taken from offical site )
